D100 Dice Roller (Percentile Dice)
Roll percentile dice online — a clean 1-100 result for random tables, Wild Magic surges, and every percentile RPG system.
About the D100
A d100 (percentile) roll produces a number from 1 to 100. At physical tables it is usually rolled as two d10s — one for the tens digit, one for the ones — since actual hundred-sided "golf ball" dice are novelties that roll forever.
Every result from 1 to 100 has an equal 1% chance, and the average roll is 50.5. Percentile rolls power random tables of every kind, and entire game systems are built on rolling under a percentage skill.
What Uses a D100?
- Wild Magic: The sorcerer’s Wild Magic Surge table in D&D 5e is a d100 table of chaotic effects.
- Divine Intervention: A cleric succeeds by rolling percentile dice at or under their cleric level.
- Loot and random tables: Treasure hoards, trinkets, and encounter tables in the DMG are percentile tables.
- Call of Cthulhu: The whole system is roll-under-percentage: roll d100 at or under your skill to succeed.
- Warhammer & RuneQuest: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and other classic systems resolve skills with d100.

D100 Probability
Every result from 1 to 100 has an exactly equal 1% chance:
| Result | Chance |
|---|---|
| Any specific number | 1% |
| 1–50 | 50% |
| Roll ≤ your CoC skill of 65 | 65% |
| Divine Intervention at cleric level 10 | 10% |
Unlike multi-dice rolls, a d100 is perfectly flat — a 100 is exactly as likely as a 50. That flatness is what makes percentile tables feel so unpredictable.
D100 Roller FAQ
How do you roll a d100 with two d10s?
Roll one d10 as the tens digit and another as the ones digit: a 7 and a 3 reads as 73. A 0 on the tens die means single digits (0 and 7 is 7), and double zeros count as 100.
What is a percentile roll?
A roll producing 1-100, read as a percentage. Systems like Call of Cthulhu use roll-under: if your skill is 65, you succeed on 65 or lower — your skill number is literally your success chance.
Is 00 on percentile dice 100 or zero?
When the tens die shows 00 and the ones die shows 0, the roll is 100. Any other 00 pairing reads as single digits: 00 and 4 is a 4.
